we named CHARLES-
The one with the peachy-orange colouring

we named COLIN.
They are both male
& The vet said they look very good!!!
CHARLES is the smallest by far of the two.

They still are not ready to go to their new homes...
but as I keep telling everyone who comes or call to the store...
Jason and I have decided that the best way to go when it comes to kittens
is to show them even before they are ready,
so when the times comes for them to be ready to be adopted...
most of them already have been spoken for and
we just need to call their new mommy's and daddy's
to come to pick them up...
and we avoid having these souls inside of the kennel for longer periods...
(all of you who knows us know that our puppies run around but we cannot do the same with kittens)
We wont let the kittens leave the store until they have had their shots
and everything they need to go home happy and healthy..
but if you would like one of them, please get in touch with us...and let us know!

With summer time almost saying "bye bye" Kritters And Fins brings a special story...
We met a family who was in need to find a new place to live,
searching everywhere for a place
that allows them to have petS
...and now more then ever more then one pet...
as their family cat, who they deeply love, has kittens...
Trying for weeks to see if the landlords of the new place
would make an exception
they found themselves in a hard situation..
They had to move, but they were unable to take their lovable
cat with her beautiful 4 kittens with them...
so mommy cat and kids are staying @ home!!!
We are taking care of 4 BEAUTIFUL and very tiny
kittens...and their absolutely wonderful mom until they are
ready to be by themselves.
The family will come to pick up their little girl
and we will help these kittens to find

As all of you are aware, we do not work with massive breeding of any creature,
we are very against puppy mills, kittens factories and so on...
We are, on the other hand, very interested in giving local breeders a fair
chance, most of our animals are being bred by friends.
People who actually have a life but breed their animals with passion,
with interest, with care and above all, with the priority,concern and knowledge
about the well being of their animals and NOT the money.
Having said this, we would like to show you some pictures
of the new member of our crew.
They wont be at the store still as they are very young.

These Gouldians Finches are hand raised and they are BEAUTIFUL!
Note from the Breeder: "The duller colored birds are the females, the males are the brighter colored birds. The females are shown in both the red and orange head color. The juveniles that have not yet molted are just a drab grey and green..."
"The younger the female, the more black on the head color. As the bird gets older, more color replaces the black on her head. This is for both orange and red headed females. I have added a photo of a younger orange headed bird & an older orange head bird for comparison."
June 10,2009 ...We are still learning slowly about his pass and about him...his ways, his behavior, his body language... "Iggy" the Iguana is a new member of our family (ADOPTED!)...Hopefully soon we will be able to take him to the vet to get a complete check
